The electrical properties of Nomex 410 insulating paper include high dielectric strength and voltage resistance. At 60Hz, its compressive strength can reach 2KV/mm, which makes it excellent in electrical equipment such as transformers. In addition, Nomex410 can maintain good mechanical properties at very low temperatures, such as liquid nitrogen points (77K), its tensile strength can even exceed 30% to 60% of the room temperature value, and the elongation at break remains at a high level.
At high temperatures, Nomex 410 insulating paper features a dielectric strength of 12KV/mm, which can be maintained at 409°C for several hours, showing its intended heat resistance. In addition, Nomex 410 showed improved elongation, tear strength and toughness at higher humidity.
