Muscovite Mica Sheet

Description :

PB5662 muscovite mica sheet, also called silver or white mica board, is a rigid electrical insulation material composed mainly of muscovite mica and a heat-resistant bonding system. It is designed for medium-to-high-temperature service and combines dielectric performance, mechanical strength, low water absorption and stable thermal behavior. According to the company PB5662 parameter table, the material is rated for 500°C continuous service and 800°C intermittent exposure.

Advantage :

PB5662 provides a useful balance of electrical, mechanical and thermal properties for rigid insulation components. The company parameter table specifies mica content of at least 90%, flexural strength of at least 160 N/mm², water absorption of no more than 1.0% after 24 hours at 23°C, dielectric strength of at least 20 kV/mm, thermal conductivity of 0.23 W/(m·K), and heat loss at 500°C of no more than 1%. Full sheets can be cut, drilled, slotted and milled into insulation barriers, supports, spacers, gaskets and drawing-based custom parts. The table also lists a UL 94 V-0 flammability grade; certificate coverage should be confirmed for the ordered product before publication or contractual use.

Application :

PB5662 can be evaluated for insulating barriers, supports, spacers and machined structural parts used in transformers, electric motors, switchgear, heating equipment, battery systems and power-electronics assemblies. Final material selection should be based on the operating temperature, voltage level, dimensions and mechanical requirements of the application.

It can be customized according to the drawings.

Packaging and Shipping

Full sheets, cut panels and finished components are inspected, stacked and protected before shipment. Protective wrapping, strapping and palletized packaging can be selected according to sheet size, part geometry, quantity and transportation requirements.
